Infertility and pregnancy loss is hard. People going through it need a lot of support from experts, from family and friends, and financially.

WHO?

1 in 6 couples experience infertility. That’s over 15% of all Canadians.  –Public Health Agency of Canada

Lower-income Canadians who can’t afford treatments.

Same-sex couples who cannot have children without IVF, IUI, or surrogacy.

GOAL

Support organizations doing the groundwork 365 days a year.

Give yFurther, enable these three organizations in reaching their mission to help support every Canadian to start and have a family.

    SUMMARY

    1. Fertility Matters Canada

    A national charitable organization, providing educational material, support and assistance to individuals and couples who are experiencing the anguish of infertility, the reproductive health disease that affects over half a million Canadian men and women.
    FMC exists today to meet needs that may go unaddressed in the course of medical treatment, to reach out to those who may not be aware of the treatment options available, and to raise public awareness of infertility and the difficulty for some to access treatment.

    IVF4BC (British Columbia) is a group of infertility patients, advocates, and families seeking better support and public funding for in vitro fertilization. Follow us also on twitter @IVF4BC

    Pushing for Fertility Treatments Funding in the Atlantic Provinces
    It is a patient-led group advocating for provincial funding of fertility treatment in the Atlantic Provinces – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland.

     


     

    4. Conceivable Dreams
    ONTARIO

    Conceivable Dreams is a grassroots organization advocating for current and future families. We achieve this by building awareness and empowering choices to address infertility and reproductive health issues.  Our sponsorship extends to the collection and analysis of data in support of continued provincial funding of infertility treatments.

     


     

    5. Generations of Hope


    Generations of Hope was developed to put the hope of having a child within reach of all families, irrespective of their income. The Fund raises money to financially support families, raises awareness of the widespread occurrence of infertility in Canada, and to increase awareness of the high direct and indirect costs of assisted reproductive technology is not funded by public health care or most private health insurance.
